Our Story

Chez Adele is a vibrant and innovative restaurant located on the Northside of Chicago, founded by Bart Kabore in 2025. The idea for Chez Adele was born during Bart’s time completing his master’s degree when he was inspired by his mother’s cooking. As his parents frequently visited, his mom was often found in the kitchen, making traditional meals, and Bart wanted to help her by taking the lead in cooking. His deep passion for food and the magic behind cooking grew from there, and his interest in hospitality was further shaped by his extensive travels for the United Nations. Bart had the privilege of experiencing diverse cuisines and unique styles of hospitality around the world, which ultimately led him to the realization that food, while universal, can be a powerful bridge between cultures.

Chez Adele represents the culmination of Bart’s journey in both the food industry and his appreciation for cultural diversity. The restaurant stands out by offering a fresh and exciting take on smash burgers, blending American, African, and Asian culinary influences to create a truly unique dining experience.
